Do I have to massage the lumps out of baby’s legs resulting from vaccinations?

My baby got her 4-month vaccinations this week and has 2 hard lumps on her thighs where they gave her the shots. The nurse told me to massage her legs to relieve the pain but when I try to massage them my baby cries. I think it is still painful for her? (she got the shots 3 days ago).

I was told that massaging the lumps was not a good idea. I was told Tylenol and a cool (not ice filled, just a rag run under cold water) rag if needed to reduce the swelling and pain. The lumps will be gone in a few days anyway.
